Quick Zoom Pro
The punch-in zoom for Premiere Pro in one drop. Put it on any clip, drag the crosshair to the spot you want, and it punch-zooms there with a real speed ramp and motion blur. No keyframes, ever.

What you get
License: personal + commercial use in your own work · no resale or redistribution
I punch in on reactions, products, and faces constantly, and every single one used to mean Scale keyframes, Position keyframes, and a trip to the graph editor to make the ease feel right. So I built the whole move into one effect. Drop it on, drag the target, done. It's the zoom I always keyframed by hand, minus the keyframes.
Features
01. Drag the target. Done.
Select the effect and a crosshair appears right in your Program Monitor. Drag it to the face, the product, the detail, and the zoom glides that exact spot to the center of the frame. It never shows anything outside your footage, even when the target sits in a corner.
02. Timed to the clip, automatically.
It zooms in over the first second and back out over the last. Trim the clip, the zoom follows. Duplicate the clip, the zoom comes along. Short clip? The timing compresses itself so the punch still lands. You never touch a keyframe.
03. A speed ramp that actually feels right.
Five curves: Linear, Ease In, Ease Out, Ease In and Out, and Overshoot, which pops past the zoom and settles like a snap zoom should. A Strength slider dials each one from gentle to violent. And the zoom is calculated so the move reads as one constant-speed punch, not a zoom that mysteriously slows down as it grows.
04. Motion blur and punch-in cuts.
Zoom Blur adds real shutter-style blur that only exists while the zoom is moving. Held frames stay tack sharp. And instead of zooming back out, flip Out Behavior to Keep Zooming In and the clip accelerates deeper right through the cut: an instant punch-in transition to your next shot.
How it works
- Drag Quick Zoom Pro onto any clip.
- Click the effect name so the crosshair shows up, then drag it where the zoom should land.
- Done. It's already animating. Open Effect Controls to change the amount, timing, curve, or blur.

Not a template
Quick Zoom Pro is a compiled native plugin, the same kind of effect that ships inside Premiere. No project files to import, no preset packs, no Essential Graphics dependency, nothing that breaks when Premiere updates its templates. It works on any clip: footage, graphics, text, nested sequences. And every parameter can still be keyframed if you ever want manual control. You just never have to.

FAQ
Does it work in After Effects? Yes. Same plugin, same installer.
Do I need to keyframe anything? No. The timing is tied to the clip's in and out points. Trim the clip and the zoom follows.
Does it lose quality? It resamples with the same class of sub-pixel filtering Premiere's own Motion uses. Zooming past about 200% on low-res footage softens like any zoom would. That's physics, not the plugin.
Can it show black edges? No. The view is clamped so you never see past the edge of your footage, even with the target in a corner.
What about really short clips? The in and out ramps compress automatically so the punch always completes and the clip always starts clean.
Mac security warning? None. The installer is signed and notarized by Apple.
Windows security warning? SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC." Click "More info", then "Run anyway."
